About Me
I have completed my M.Tech in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, where I focused on cost-effective and sustainable urban flood mitigation using Low Impact Development (LID) practices. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Windsor, where my research is centered on Urban Hydrology.
With a strong foundation in Civil Engineering from my B.Tech and hands-on research in sediment transport, flood modeling, and geosynthetics, my work has led to journal submissions and patent filings on innovative scour protection and sediment flushing.
💡 My M.Tech thesis, along with an internship on river flow analysis using Fudaa-LSPIV, reflects my passion for integrating simulation tools, real-world data, and applied research to address modern hydrological challenges.
🔬 At Windsor, I am expanding my research into hydrodynamics, urban drainage systems, and climate-resilient infrastructure, while actively engaging in globally collaborative academic research.
Research Interests
My work focuses on stormwater management, flood mitigation, and hydraulic structures. Below are my key areas of research.
LID Stormwater Management
Investigating the feasibility and performance of Low Impact Development (LID) controls in clay soils for managing stormwater in linear infrastructure.
Sustainable Urban Flood Mitigation
Developing and comparing cost-effective solutions and performance metrics for LID-based practices in urban flood control.
Hydraulic Structures & Scour Protection
Designing and patenting novel solutions for riverbank protection and pier scour reduction, including geobags and spike mats.
